Luffy and Momonosuke attack Kaido in episode 1050, titled “Two Dragons Face Off! Momonosuke’s Determination!!”

Everyone was surprised by the sudden appearance of Mugiwara on a pink dragon. It was only in the latter part of the episode that they learned that the pink dragon is Momonosuke.

Luffy wanted Momo to bite Kaido to overcome his fear. It was a rather strange but effective way to let Momo forget his fears. He is now ready to take on Kaido.

Episode 1051 Speculations

Momonosuke and Kaido will fight head-on in episode 1051, titled “A Legend All Over Again! Luffy’s Fist Roars in the Sky!”

The Straw Hats have gained hope after the reappearance of Luffy, and the battle has taken a new turn. We will get to see more of Zoro and Sanji’s fight against King and Queen.

I really hope the episodes don’t waste time on recaps and the episodes get a little fast-paced. A lot is happening all around, so it is tough to guess where the anime will focus in the next episode.

However, I am sure we will be getting some sickly animated scenes, as can be seen in the preview.

Episode 1050 Recap

Momonosuke reaches the rooftop, where Luffy and Yamato’s simultaneous attack throws Kaido away. Yamato is elated to see Luffy return and is surprised to know that the pink dragon is Momonosuke.

Kaido rises up, now in his full dragon form, and asks for Momonosuke’s name. Momo gets scared of Kaido, but after much hesitation, he finally tells his name and claims that he will become the shogun of Wano.

At the Flower Captial, Toko is enjoying the festival while Kozuki Sukiyaki worries about Otama, who went off to Onigashima even though he told her not to. He wonders how she is doing.

Due to the appearance of two dragons, the moon hides behind the clouds, and this causes Inuarashi and Nekomamushi to turn back to normal. They get cornered by their enemies.

Kaido is not much surprised to find out that the pink dragon is Momo. Momo is still scared of him. Luffy tells Momonosuke to bite Kaido, but he hesitates to take even one step ahead.

Luffy attacks Kaido with gear three. After a short flashback of his mother, Momo bit Kaido. Kaido is taken aback by this sudden attack, but he gets back up and prepares to fire at Momo.

Luffy jumps in and throws Kaido away with a punch. Everyone around Onigashima comes to know that the pink dragon is Momonosuke. Luffy tells Momo that he bit an emperor of the sea, and now he has nothing to be scared off.

Momonosuke agrees with him.
