It was a pretty sad episode. I feel very bad for Kin’emon. He first saw his comrade die in his hands, and then he had to kill his best friend with his own hands. He is a really tragic character.

Everyone is notified about Luffy’s defeat. While it is obvious, the Straw Hats refuse to believe that, somewhere down there, everyone is slowly losing hope of victory. To add to that, Kaido has now come down for Momonosuke.

Episode 1036 Speculations

It’s filler time in episode 1036, titled “A Comprehensive Anatomy! Fierce Fight! The Five from the New Generation!”

The preview only consisted of the battles that had already happened. We didn’t see any glimpse of what will happen in the next episode. Looks like it is going to be a special episode.

The anime takes a lot of time to reach the main battle scenes. Fans are quite annoyed by it. The next episode will be a filler, and after that, we will see Sanji taking over Queen while Kin’emon will try to stop Kaido.

Episode 1035 Recap

Momonosuke feels a sharp pain in his head. Kin’emon and Kiku reach Momomosuke, and Shinobu informs them about Momo’s condition. Everyone is injured because of Prospero’s arrows.

Chopper has got weaker, but he still protects everyone from the arrows. Chopper gets a flashback where he talks to Ceasar Clown, who offers to increase Chopper’s gigantification ten times. Chopper accepts his proposal after some hesitation.

He attacks Queen again but fails to do any damage. They both are engaged in a fight when Bao Huang announces that Kaido has defeated Luffy and Luffy has fallen down into the sea.

Kanjuro has reached Momonosuke. He takes the form of Kozuki Oden and climbs up to meet him. Shinobu and Momo believe that it is Oden, but Kin’emon and Kiku tell them to back off. Kiku attacks Kanjuro. She is enraged because Ashuran died because of him.

As Kiku is about to slash Kanjuro, he starts to manipulate her in Oden’s voice. He reminds her of the time she spent with Oden. Unable to move, Kanjuro stabs her with a sword. Kiku is fatally injured. She apolozieses to Kin’emon and dies.

Kin’emon is enraged. Kanjuro sets up the stage for them to fight. An enraged Kin’emon finishes off Kanjuro with one slash but not before getting flashbacks about their life together. Kanjuro is happy to get killed by his best friend.

Kin’emon, Shinobu, and Momo are about to move when Kaido appears before them. Kin’emon tells Shinobu to run away with Momo while he gets ready to fight Kaido.

Kaido attacks him with one strong blow, breaking his sword. The battle will continue in the next episode.
