Zoro, Law, Killer, and Kid throw Big Mom out of the roof in episode 1027, titled “Defend Luffy! Zoro and Law’s Sword Technique!”
However, she was back in business with a little help from Kaido. Prometheus is a nasty guy. He throws Zeus away from the family to fulfill his own needs. I feel pretty bad for Zeus.
The episode featured some unnecessary long recaps of things that already happened. It was a pretty annoying way of extending the runtime of the episode. All things aside, we got to see Zoro using Asura again, and it was sheer hype.
As Luffy gets up again to fight Kaido, here are the latest updates.
Episode 1028 Speculations
Luffy will fight Kaido again in episode 1028, titled “Surpass the Emperor of the Sea! Luffy Strikes Back with an Iron Fist!”
Prometheus will be getting a new partner in the next episode, and I think Kid will try to attack Big Mom again. Big Mom’s part in the previous episode was pretty dull. I hope we see her in action and will get less of the long flashbacks.
The main focus of the next episode will possibly be the battle between Luffy and Kaido. The fight will be long, so we can’t expect anything extraordinary to happen just yet.

Episode 1027 Recap
The four pirates, other than Luffy, throw Big Mom into the sea. Luffy has passed out fighting Kaido. None of Big Mom’s family members are able to help her. Prometheus tries to go towards her, but Zoro continuously keeps slicing him.
Kid has trapped Zeus, and Killer is handling Napolean. However, Zoro fails to hold Prometheus for long as Kaido interferes and frees Prometheus and Napolean. Prometheus rushes toward Big Mom and pulls her out of the water.
Big Mom was nearly finished, but Prometheus came at the right time and saved her. She praises them for saving her and despises Zeus for being useless. Prometheus provokes her not to keep Zeus in the family anymore. She agrees to it.
Prometheus asks her to get him a girlfriend. Big Mom readily agrees and starts using her power to get him a new partner. Meanwhile, Kid is all set to attack Big Mom again.
Kaido is about to finish fazed out Luffy. Zoro comes in and gets ready to use the technique that will push him to his limit. He tells Law to take care of the rest after he is gone.
Zoro takes his Asura stance and uses the Nine Sword Style to fight Kaido. Kaido is reminded of Oden after seeing Zoro. Zoro unleashes his attack on Kaido and, after a long struggle, manages to put a long slice on him.
Kaido is unfazed by the attack. However, the scar will remain forever. Zoro is disappointed by his attack. Kaido is about to attack Zoro when Law tries to interfere. Kaido knocks them both out with a single blow.
He comments that they could possibly rule the world if they work together. Luffy wakes up, telling him he would never work for Kaido because they love the samurai, and he is definitely going to defeat Kaido.
