Luffy’s battle with Kaido has now begun in episode 1016, titled “The Battle of the Monsters! The Three Stubborn Captains!”
Luffy’s punch shocked the two yonkos by his Red Roc. However, we got some comedy moments in the midst of all the battle tension. It was quite refreshing and fun to watch as Luffy, Kid, and Law engaged in an argument.
Sanji is still trapped in Black Maria’s web, but now he is ready to fight and break free from her. Zoro and Killer confront Kaido, and now the trio of Luffy, Kid, and Law will take over him. The excitement and hype are increasing every week.

Episode 1017 Speculations
Kaido and the worst generation battle continues in episode 1017, titled “A Barrage of Powerful Techniques! The Fierce Attacks of the Worst Generation!”
The battle between Kaido and Luffy is not just about winning. It’s about the title of the king of pirates. The anime is, however, way behind the manga, so their fight is going to be even longer in the anime, given the anime’s pacing.
I hope the worst generation will put up a great fight against the two strongest opponents they have ever faced. This battle was straight epic in the manga, and looking at how will the episodes are getting animated, it will be one hell of an experience. I can’t wait to see the next episode.
Episode 1017 Release Date

Episode 1016 Recap
Kaido is left in dismay by Luffy’s Red Roc, and it infuriated him that someone who didn’t even grab his attention before was able to knock him out.
Big Mom is also shocked to see Kaido bleeding. She shouts at Kaido for taking a punch from the straw hat. Zoro realizes that the haki Luffy used was the one the old man in Wano (Hyogoro) taught him.
Kid asks him about the haki Luffy used. Zoro tells him that the demonstrated haki is called Ryou, and it causes internal damage to the enemy.
Kaido stands up again, thinking that how can someone he easily defeated in Kuri can do this to him. There are only a few who can go against him in this world.
He can’t believe that the straw hat will be one of them. Kaido calls out to him and attacks him with Thunder Bagua. Luffy narrowly escapes the attack.
Big Mom interferes and attacks Luffy with Prometheus. Zoro rushes towards Luffy and stops Big Mom’s attack. Sanji is still trapped in Black Maria’s web. He is resisting the temptation of being there with all those beautiful women.
Black Maria is seducing him to stay with them and tell her about Nico Robin. Sanji is trying really hard not to get swayed away by Black Maria. He burns the traps and starts running away.
Black Maria’s subordinates try to catch him, but he catches them in their own web. Black Maria turns into a big spider and is ready to make Sanji talk by force.
Luffy lets his guard down and is attacked by Kaido, but Law saves him. He starts to argue with Luffy about the time when he told Law to move the nine scabbards downstairs. It felt like he ordered him.
Kid also gets engaged in their argument, and the three start a heated debate. Big Mom attacks the three, and they decide that whoever dodges the attack first is the loser.
All three take the attack head-on (for no reason). Zoro teams up with Killer, and the two attack Kaido, but their attack does little damage to him. The other trio gets ready to face Kadio together. Luffy takes gear 4 form and will now face Kaido head-on.
