The beloved manga, One Piece, now has a day devoted to itself. July 22 of every year has been decided as One Piece day by the Japanese Anniversary Association.

The manga was launched in 1997, and this year, the manga will be celebrating its 23rd anniversary.

A new key visual for One Piece has been released on the official Twitter account of One Piece.

The newly released illustration led to a controversy amongst fans as to why Jinbe isn’t present in the visual. Many fans are questioning the presence of Sabo, while Jinbe is nowhere to be seen.

Fans are speculating that the visual is a hint towards the ongoing Wano Country arc where Sabo might make an appearance. Another cause of Jinbe’s absence is reasoned with him not yet appearing in the anime series of One Piece.

One Piece is one of the longest-running manga in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is currently in chapter 985 and will reach the 1000 mark very soon.

The COVID-19 outbreak and Eiichiro Oda’s health are causing the manga to go on breaks frequently, but One Piece is still going as strong as ever.

The One Piece anime is on episode 933, and though several arcs have been covered already, fans wish that the anime and the manga never end.

Every arc makes us think that there is more to discover in the seas and oceans alongside Luffy and his crew.
