However, the manga has been taking a lot of breaks than usual. Every announcement of a break makes the reader sigh loudly or facepalm or both.

The official Twitter account of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, recently announced that the One Piece manga’s chapter 989 will be going on a one-week break.

Chapter 989 will thus be featured on the 40th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be published on 7th September 2020.

Every One Piece fan knows by now that Eiichiro Oda’s health has been deteriorating of late and that he is trying his best to keep up the manga series.

However, at the same time, we can’t help but feel disappointed every time a break is announced.

Eiichiro Oda has been neglecting his sleeping hours, and his hectic schedule is finally catching up to his health. We hope that he stays healthy and uses the break to take some much-deserved rest.

Momonosuke is being kept watch on by King, but Sanji tries to attack him from behind. Both King and Sanji get involved in a fight.
