One Piece chapter 980 came out last Sunday and kicked off a giant brawl in the middle of the party going on in Onigashima. Annoyed by people wasting Oshiruko, Luffy launched an Elephant gun on Kaido’s men and blew his cover as fast as everyone expected.
Zoro joined in the fight too, and the chapter ended with Kid landing a satisfactory punch on Apoo.
One Piece Chapter 981 Scans Leaked Early, Tease Full On Fight
As chapter 981 is going to release after a week-long hiatus, some scans for the next chapter have been leaked already. The scans show Zoro going into three-sword mode, which can mean only one thing — Zoro is getting ready to fight seriously.
Chapter 980 starts with Luffy landing a haki-laced Elephant gun on Kaido’s men after they wasted Oshiruko. While Luffy is causing this brawl, Kid uses it as an opportunity to make it past Kaido’s forces undetected.
Following the sound of the attacks, Zoro makes it to the brawl, initially upset at Luffy for blowing their cover but soon getting pissed off once he knows the reason for it — Oshiruko!
Apoo quickly recognizes Luffy and informs Queen. Queen then announces that the person who catches Luffy and Zoro will be given a seat in the ranks of the Tobi Roppo as he plans to remove one of them anyway.
Motivated by this offer, everyone zeroes in on Luffy and Zoro. Still, Apoo is the one who can land attacks on both of them. Despite knowing that the attack is coming, both of them are unable to dodge it. Zoro tries to get Luffy out of there as too much damage this early in the war will mean certain failure.
While this happens, Kid spots Apoo and, in his rage, attacks Apoo with the full force of his Punk Gibson.
If Zoro is really getting serious about fighting in the next chapter, it means the war is officially starting. After Zoro shows his new powers after training with Enma, Queen will not let it go easily, and this brawl will turn into an all-out war.
