In Elbaph’s underworld, Scopper Gaban reveals something really important. The Holy Knights can be hurt, but only with advanced Conqueror’s Haki. He urges Luffy to keep refining his own Haki, but that’s not the biggest surprise.
Gaban then mentions that someone else nearby has the same power. Sanji perks up, assuming it’s him. But Gaban points straight to Zoro.
Zoro is stunned as he’s been using it unknowingly, while Luffy simply nods since he already had a feeling. Gaban, annoyed and amused, yells at Zoro for not realizing it sooner. With that, Zoro is officially confirmed as a Conqueror’s Haki user, one of the very few capable of standing against the Holy Knights.
A Flashback About Loki and Harald
The chapter then jumps back 14 years. Gaban and Shanks were both in Elbaph the day King Harald was killed.
Loki had arrived at the royal castle, hoping to confront his father about his ties to the World Government, the very force behind Rocks D. Xebec’s fall. But instead of a confrontation, Loki walked in on a bloody scene, finding Harald already pierced by his own guards.
At the same time, Shanks was speaking with Gaban elsewhere. He said he wanted to meet Harald again and briefly talked about his past hope of forming a crew with Buggy. Gaban called him “the destined boy.” During this conversation, Shanks is shown bearing the same Abyss mark seen on the Holy Knights, an ominous detail left unexplained for now.

Amid the chaos of that day, Elbaph’s legendary Devil Fruit was stolen. While it was once believed that Loki killed his father to steal it, this chapter dismisses that theory. The identity of the thief and the nature of the fruit are left unclear.

The chapter closes with a brief, silent flashback. King Harald in his youth, launching a violent campaign against an unnamed kingdom. No dialogue, just a glimpse of the man he used to be, long before he became a ruler or a victim.
