Okumo-chan Flashback Manga by Riichi Ueshiba Ends in June

We always wait eagerly the next chapter of our favorite manga, and the climax of an arc makes us thrilled. At the same time, we feel the blues when the manga ends.

The end of a manga, whether it was a long series or a one-shot, always seems sad. That is exactly how we feel as this cute manga comes to an end.

Okumo-chan Flashback, authored and illustrated by Riichi Ueshiba, is coming to an end on 25th June, this year.

The manga is published by Kodansha in its afternoon magazine. The August issue of the afternoon magazine of Kodansha will contain the last chapter of the series. The finale of the manga was announced in the July issue.

The manga is based on slice of life, supernatural, and comedy genres. It portrays a sweet and cute relationship between a son and his mom but with a twist.

Minoru Suzuki can see visions of his mom’s past. The more Minoru sees his mom’s past, the closer he gets to her and tries to follow her footsteps. This concept is pretty simple and draws in any reader looking for a light and cute read.

The manga was first announced by Kodansha in April 2017 and published in May 2017. It was first compiled into volumes in October 2017, and the 5th volume was published on 23rd January.

Other works of Ueshiba includes “Discommunication” “Dreammaster” and “Mysterious Girlfriend X.” He is the winner of the Tetsuya Chiba Award 1991 for the general category.

Ueshiba’s Mysterious Girlfriend X was a popular manga that was serialized from 2006-2014. The manga was also adapted into an anime in 2012 which was streamed by Crunchyroll in Japan.

His other famous title, Discommunication, ran from 1992-2000 and was licensed by J-Novel Club.

Okumo-chan Flashback is a manga authored and illustrated by Riichi Ueshiba. It portrays the sweet relationship between a mother and son.

Minoru Suzuki is a high school student whose mom is a mangaka. She is often too busy to bond with Minoru, but he sees visions of his mom’s past. These visions help him understand his mom more as they grow closer. It is a cute manga with a supernatural twist.
