Nvidia’s RTX 4070 SUPER, 4070 Ti SUPER, and 4080 SUPER will be released in January

Summary

  • A leaked document has revealed when embargoes will be lifted for Nvidia’s three upcoming SUPER series cards.
  • This includes the Nvidia RTX 4070 SUPER, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and the RTX 4080 SUPER.
  • These cards will be hitting the shelves on January 17th, 24th, and 31st, respectively along with two other cards that will release in Q1 of 2024.

While most of the resources and attention at Nvidia are focused on the AI boom and the production of chips capable of supporting and speeding up AI-based applications, a part of Nvidia stays true to its gaming roots.

A document containing seven dates for embargoes being lifted on several upcoming Nvidia cards has been spotted by reputed hardware leakers VideoCardz. These embargoes pertain to the RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and the RTX 4080 SUPER, and all the dates are between January 8th and January 31st, 2023.

This aligns with rumors that Nvidia will introduce three new cards on the same day during the CES 2024’s “Special Address.” This was expected to be around January 9th to January 14th, i.e., the duration of the CES.

The leaked document has revealed that all three cards, i.e., the RTX 4070 SUPER, the 4070 Ti SUPER, and the RTX 4080 SUPER, will be announced on January 8th at 9 AM PT. Only the RTX 4070 SUPER has an unboxing video scheduled for January 8th at 2 PM PT.

The RTX 4070 SUPER is the first to have an AIC Press and Influencer review for MSRP products on January 16th. For the non-MSRP products, the inspections are scheduled for January 17th. The RTX 4070 SUPER will hit shelves on January 17th at 6 AM PT.

This will be followed by the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER’s AIC Press and Influencer Reviews for MSRP products on January 23rd. The non-MSRP variants will have the reviews on January 24th. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER hits shelves on January 24th at 6 AM PT.

Finally, the RTX 4080 SUPER has its AIC Press and Influencer Review for MSRP variants on January 30th. The non-MSPR variants will have the reviews on January 31st. The RTX 4080 SUPER will hit shelves on January 31st at 6 AM PT.

These are, however, not the products in the Nvidia pipeline. Other products not present in the leaked document are the RTX 4090D, specifically for China, and the RTX 3060’s 6GB variant. These products are expected to be released at some point in Q1 2024, taking the count to five GPUs by Nvidia being released in the coming weeks.
