Nodoka Shinomaru to Launch New Manga Series in July

Kodansha’s Be-Love magazine’s August issue stated on Wednesday that Poco’s Udon World’s Nodoka Shinomaru would be launching a new manga titled Koi Janai kara Namae o Tsukete (This Isn’t Love, So Give it a Name) in July.

The manga is revealed with the tagline “A 34-year-old woman who carried herself with pride is forced to restart her life?!”

The manga titled “This Isn’t Love, So Give it a Name” is confirmed for a July 31 release.

Manga Storyline

The plot follows the protagonist Tsukasa Date’s story, a former career-minded woman who happens to lose not only her job but her house, and the love of her life too. As luck would have it, she found a handsome man while out on the road.

Shinomaru released the Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari (Poco’s Udon World) manga in 2012, and Kurage Bunch published the final chapter in February 2019, with a bonus chapter in October 2019. The manga shipped its 12th and final volume in March 2019.

The manga was widely accepted and also inspired a 12-episode anime adaptation by director Seiki Takuno and LIDEN FILMS that aired in October 2016. It was streamed online by Crunchyroll in Japan under the title “Poco’s Udon World.
