The adaptation was first announced in the 2019 Comic-Con in Seoul.

Author Son Jeho talked about the 11-year long production of the webtoon and the dream of an anime adaptation, which will finally come true. It will be directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto.

Very little information is available about the release and fans are eagerly waiting to know more about Rai and his adventures.

As webtoons like Tower of God and Noblesse get anime adaptations, avid webtoon readers are wishing for more.

Hopfully other Korean manhwas will also get adapted in the near future.

About Noblesse

This series, released in 2007, is by Son Jeho and illustrator Lee Kwangsu. The story is about a nobleman named Cadis Etrama Di Raizel.

One day, shockingly, he wakes up over 800 years in the future. Reunited with his companion Frankenstein, Rai enrolls in a local high school and makes friends with a group who vow to help Rai uncover his forgotten past.

This announcement is exciting for South Koreans. South Korea has produced dozens of world-famous manhwa titles, but they never get an anime adaptation. Now, fans will have to wait and see how these manhwa titles shape up in anime form and whether they’ll spark a trend of manhwa-turned-anime adaptations.
