Stranger Things S5’s Filming date revealed by Noah Schnapp.

Noah Schnapp reveals that the final season of the Netflix blockbuster, Stranger Things, will begin filming in May this year. Season 4 of the Duffer Brothers-helmed sci-fi series came out in 2022. It was divided into two volumes which were released across May and July.

The show follows the lives of four teenagers in the North American town of Hawkins. Things soon take an ‘upside’ turn when they encounter a girl with superhuman telepathic powers.

According to Collider, fans asked Noah whether the filming of season 5 would interfere with his education during a live stream on Instagram. Schnapp revealed that the filming will start in May and will not collide with his time in school.

This news sits well with David Harbour’s comments back in 2022, who stated that filming would begin at a similar time.

Stranger Things season 4 ended on a massive cliffhanger and left the fate of Vecna and Hawkins in a precarious situation. Between the Duffer Brothers teasing an emotional conclusion to season 5 and debates surrounding an ambiguous title to the season 5 pilot, Stranger Things season 5 is one of the most anticipated finales on Netflix.

Despite this, the Duffer Brothers haven’t disclosed an official or approximate release date for Stranger Things’ concluding season.

Following the release of season 4, volume 2, makers revealed that they were mainly focused on ensuring that the conclusion lives up to the lofty standards set by its predecessors before finalizing a release date.

However, Netflix confirmed that season 4 would start filming in 2023, so we can assume that a 2024 release is very likely.

If the series is divided into two parts like season 4, Netflix may choose to release volume 1 in May, so as to be considered for that year’s Emmy nominations. Volume 2 will release shortly after, aiming to be nominated for next year’s Emmy.

Stranger Things has been one of the most popular creatives on Netflix ever since its release in 2016. It has garnered praise from both audiences and critics and has earned a dedicated fanbase.

While the universe is scheduled to expand, fans are eager to know how the makers plan to end the Hawkins fiasco. With Schnapp confirming the start of filming, many fans will keep a close eye on the developments to uncover any potential season 5 secrets!
