Nintama Rantaro Anime Returns In April 2023 With 31st Series
On December 12, NHK revealed that the 31st series in the Nintama Rantaro anime franchise will premiere in April 2023. The long-running children’s television anime will continue to air on the channel NHK E TV.
The series is based on the historical gag manga written by Soubee Amako and has been broadcast on the NHK network since 1993. Each episode of the series is approximately 10 minutes in length.
The ninja gag manga focuses on Rantaro, who is a ninja apprentice at an elite ninjutsu academy in historical Japan. Rantaro and his friends Kirimaru, and Shinbei, embark on their journey of ninja training together.
They may not be great ninjas at the beginning, since they are only elementary students, but through the course of their training, they learn and grow to become better ninjas
The 30th series in the franchise premiered on April 4 earlier this year.
The manga inspired the anime series as well as two anime films and two live-action films. The first live-action film was directed by Takashi Miike.
