The light novel by Kanako Nishi got an anime film adaptation, and from the looks of it, the movie is going to steal hearts, change perspectives and make us cry.

Gyoko no Nikuko-chan released a behind-the-scenes video of cast member and flute player Cocomi playing some tunes for the film’s soundtrack. The film will premiere on June 11th, 2021.

The film’s soundtrack will be released on June 9th, and I strongly recommend you to check it out.

The tune Cocomi is playing is a very soothing and mellow one. It almost reminds you of a pleasant day by the seashore just relaxing around with the sound of the waves.

The actress Cocomi plays the role of Kikoku, the daughter of Nikuko, who lives on a boat in a fishing town.

The theme of the anime is slice of life where Kikuko narrates the whole story describing their life in the town and their relationship with different people there.

It is a wholesome and calming film that makes you have a different perspective on life itself.

The film’s theme song is performed by the 10-year-old Kurumi Inagaki. The song is called ‘Image no Uta,’ which is the debut single songwriter Takuro Yoshida.

Whereas GReeeeN will be performing the film’s ending theme called ‘Taketen.’

The eccentric mother-daughter duo figuring out life is worth the watch and trust me, you won’t be disappointed after watching it.
