Quarantining can be fun and Nickelodeon is intent on making the experience of filming during quarantine fun too.
Its latest game show Unfiltered (previously Game Face) will have celebrities come on the show dressed in exclusive 3D filters. The competition will be to identify who’s who.
It is not just the name that has changed for this Nick game show. It now has a new host in comedian and actor Jay Pharoah. He is popularly known for his hilarious comedies like Saturday Night Live and 2 Minutes of Fame.
As for the panelists of this six-episode game show, we have Darci Lynne and All That’s Lex Lumpkin and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, who must guess the identities of virtually disguised celebrity guests.
Each round will feature a celebrity whose face and voice will be altered to hide their true identities. Each panelist will be given questions and wacky trivia to help un-filter and identify each celebrity. The first one to do so wins the round.
The guys at Nick have announced that this remotely-filmed game show will be one of its kind. The audience will also get to get in on the fun by downloading and using the filter for themselves.
The filter will be available in an app on each of their versions of the App store. The app will have an animated 3D filter and a voice changer for you to disguise yourself as the show’s animated character and have someone un-filter you too.
Speaking about the fun disguise show, host Jay Pharaoh recently said, “As a person who likes to transform and play multiple characters, I always love a good disguise and I can’t wait to see which panelist will be able to figure out our guests’ identities.”
He further added, “Nickelodeon’s Unfiltered is going to be an outrageously good time, and we have some big names and surprises that you really won’t want to miss!”
Unfiltered premieres Saturday, July 11, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
