New Valheim Mod Lets You Jazz Up Your Raft’s Sail

The Valheim mod factory has been consistent in putting out one banger after the other and this time, they are bringing their very own version of MTV’s classic ‘Pimp My Ride’ to the game’s Viking setting. Although, here it would probably be called ‘Pimp my Raft’?

If you’re looking to jazz up your raft and give it a more personalised look, The Custom Sails mod lets you paste an image of your choice onto your sails.

The process behind it is quite simple: once you install the mod, all you need to do is interact with your raft by using the Left-Control key and post your image URL in the pane that pops up. Any image will do as long as it’s on the internet so… use this power wisely. And if possible, use it for a great comedic effect.

As of now, there seems to be no mechanic in place to remove the image off the sail except for uninstalling the mod altogether. Removing the image link from the aforementioned pane has no effect. So, as we said before, being wise about your image option is a good idea.

Additionally, it’s important to note two things. Firstly, the mod is client-side so only you will be able to see the image on your sail. And secondly, like with almost every other Valheim mod, you’ll need to install BepInExPack Valheim. Once you’ve got that installed, simply drop the CustomSails.dll into the plugin folder.

Mods have been an integral part of Valheim’s journey so far. This is not to say that the game has needed mods to become as popular as it is, but the mods have come together quite wonderfully with the game to produce entertaining results, be it making deer sounds more enjoyable or bringing six new character classes to the game.
