Did Marvel Intentionally Leak Maguire Hint Via Spider-Man NWH Merch?

Another Spider-Man: No Way Home merch collection has just hinted at Tobey Maguire being in the movie. At this point, Marvel is just toying with us.

The film has collaborated with Bark Box (a subscription-based box for dog products) to release a Spidey-themed package this month. The box was decked with Spider-Man on the cover. The colored image is ripped to show a black and white version of the same.

An observant Twitter user has posted his own box, marking out a tiny, almost unnoticeable detail:

On the top right side of the box, there is a small Spider-Man face that resembles Tobey Maguire’s version. The Twitter user also attached a video to prove the legitimacy of his post.

You can also have a look at what’s inside the Bark Box. The merch is really adorable!

However, a Reddit user pointed out that it could very well be the background of the Daily Bugle with a Spidey picture on it. The other half of the newspaper is also visible on the cover. Still, it doesn’t explain why the Spider-Man masks differ.

By now, the studios know how keen and relentless fans are about finding any and all details about No Way Home. Did Marvel “accidently” let this slip-up happen? Or are they just throwing a bone our way?

As both Maguire and Andrew Garfield continue to deny rumors, another slip-up comes via a German theatre listing, whose movie description confirms that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be dealing with multiple versions of himself:

The actors’ involvement is all but confirmed at this point. Any leaks right now simply feel like Marvel’s way of promoting the movie and adding to its hype (as if, it could get any larger?!)

Like, I said earlier — it is no longer is about “if” Maguire and Garfield will be in No Way Home, but how pivotal their appearance will be to shouldering the story. Till then, Marvel you can stop teasing us!
