2022 film Prey has a new poster with Naru fighting off the first predator in an epic showdown! This new poster, released after two weeks of the running success of the film on Hulu, has garnered fans’ attention on every media site.
Prey is a Hulu Original set up as a prequel to the Predator franchise consisting of four films. The prequel dates the events 300 years before the Predator films, depicting the fight between Comanche healer Naru, who is striving to prove herself a hunter.
Her wish seems to come true in a dangerous turn of events when she has to fight for her people and protect them from humanoid aliens and fur traders altogether. The sci-fi action horror stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane DiLiegro, Michelle Thrush, Stormee Kip, Julian Black Antelope, Bennett Taylor, and Mike Paterson.
The film was released on the streaming platform on August 5th, 2022, and has gotten generally positive reviews, praising the actors’ performances, the accuracy of the cultural representation, and the choreography of the action scenes.
Now artist Matt Ferguson has posted a new poster that 20th Century Studio had commissioned him to make for the 2022 prequel on Twitter. The poster captures an amazing angle of the epic showdown between Yautja and Naru.
The depicted shot in the new poster has been ranked as one of the top fight sequences in the Predator franchise. The scene was emotionally brutal, with Naru having lost her brother and group and sacrificing one of the fur traders before she managed to grab the Predator’s mask and got it to kill itself.
The movie has been enjoying a highly successful run on Hulu and has given franchise fans new hope of seeing the franchise up and running again. And these hopes and prayers have a chance at being answered! The film’s post-credit scene sets up another oncoming fight between Naru and yet another one of the predators in a possible sequel. But for now, no news has been announced for a sequel, so fingers crossed!
