New Pokemon Anime Updates

With the end of Pokemon: Sun & Moon, the next iteration of the animated series of Pokemon, Pokemon: The Series is set to be released on 17th November. This series has been revealed to have a drastic change in its layout, featuring two protagonists, Ash and Gou, instead of one.

This change is to celebrate Sword & Shield, the latest generation of the Pokemon game series. It is set to be released next month on Nintendo Switch. In addition to a new protagonist, the series is set to explore every region in the franchise to date, instead of just one.

@anipoke_PR, the official twitter for Pokemon anime recently tweeted out some details concerning the opening theme song for Pokemon: The Series.

The opening will be performed by After The Rain, a duo of Japanese Influencers, Soraru and Mamufufu. They’re going to be composing, producing & singing the theme song for the series. There has been no news on the title of the song, but it is expected to drop in the next week since the release of the series is just a couple of weeks away. Pokemon: The Series, currently scheduled to premiere November 17th in Japan, is a groundbreaking era of the series rebooting things by featuring every region in the franchise thus far instead of just the new region, Galar

The new series will revolve around two protagonists, Ash and Gou. Gou, designed by Ken Sugimori, will have a Scorbunny as his partner Pokemon with the same goal as Ash, to Catch ’em all. Kanto, a fan favourite region has also been announced to return in Pokemon: The Series. Kanto will be introducing two brand new characters, a new Kanto Professor and his daughter, who will be taking part in Ash and Gou’s journey.

A list of staff confirmed for the new series has also been released. Including Daiki Tomiyasu as the chief director for OLM, Kunihiko Yuyama as the creative supervisor, Shuhei Yasuda as the character designer, Maki Odaira as the series director, Masafumi as the sound director, Yuki Hayashi as the series composer and Daiki Yamashita as the voice behind Gou.
