Explore the Barbie Dream House of Margot Robbie in a new series of images.

The upcoming film adaptation of the iconic Mattel toy line, directed by Greta Gerwig, features Robbie as the doll who embarks on a journey of self-discovery that leads her from the comfort of Barbieland to the unfamiliarity of the real world.

Robbie is joined by Ryan Gosling as Ken, her loyal and naive companion, and Will Ferrell as a Mattel executive who wants to conceal Barbie’s existence.

Architectural Digest has provided an opportunity for fans to explore Barbie’s home in Barbieland, following the official Barbie trailer that revealed a glimpse of her adventures in the real world.

The images above displays the Dream House’s set images from the Warner Bros. Studio lot in London, featuring the various rooms of Barbie’s home.

The set replicates the toy-like design philosophy of the Dream House, which incorporates branding throughout the building, packaging-inspired wardrobes, an open and accessible design for play, and a lavish spiral slide.

Gerwig’s upcoming film also aims to recreate the iconic accessories of the toy line and make them usable and realistic for the cast at a 1:1 scale. The first official image of Robbie’s Barbie shows the star driving a pink convertible, a replica of the doll’s car.

Moreover, the main trailer reveals that Barbie will use various vehicles that have appeared in the line, such as camper vans, boats, and even a rocket.

Barbie’s remarkable costumes also include a number of looks that are based on outfits the doll has worn. Barbie’s first teaser showed Robbie’s character wearing the iconic black and white bathing suit that the original doll wore in 1959.

Moreover, her roller skating outfit in the real-world sequences is inspired by an outfit from a 1994 doll. With Gerwig accurately portraying her world, Barbie has easily distinguished itself among this year’s summer releases.

Barbie’s all-star cast has attracted a lot of interest, but its vivid, colorful sets have made audiences eager to see more of the film. Although Barbie is venturing into the unknown, Barbieland’s cheerful, toy-like sets have created one of 2023’s most unique films visually. It will be fascinating to see the rest of Barbie’s world on the big screen.
