Jennifer Aniston Reveals Filming on Murder Mystery Has Wrapped Up

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are one step closer to returning as Audrey and Nick Spitz in Murder Mystery 2 as filming for the sequel wraps up in France.

Aniston took to Instagram to post a behind-the-scenes montage with on-set photos and some scenic pictures of Paris, where the sequel was being filmed. The actress wrote, “Merciiii Paris 🇫🇷 That’s a wrap. #MurderMystery2.”

Paris isn’t the only place the couple will go, as the actors were spotted filming on set in Oahu, Hawaii, in January.

Co-star Mark Strong also shared his own picture, posing with Aniston, confirming that filming had wrapped up, mentioning the “lovely” cast and crew.

As Netflix had revealed at the TUDUM event, Murder Mystery 2 will catch up with the Spitz for another international trip “full of intrigue and hijinks,” following their adventures in the 2019 film.

Murder Mystery was a hit for Netflix, viewed by 73 million households within the first four weeks of its release.

The film follows Nick, a New York cop, who finally takes his wife Audrey on a long-awaited European trip, only for the couple to end up being the prime suspects of an elderly billionaire’s murder.

The sequel’s cast also includes Adeel Akhtar, John Kani, Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kuhoo Verma, Enrique Arce, Tony Goldwyn, Annie Mumolo, and Zurin Villanueva.

Murder Mystery 2 does not have an official release date as of yet. But as filming has wrapped up already, one can expect it to premiere sometime between late 2022 to early 2023.
