Netflix Drops Trailer for a Boss Baby Sequel Series with DreamWorks

The Boss Baby franchise is growing bigger than ever with the tiny babies remaining the same size as they were when the first film came out. However, this time, it’s serious business, with Baby Corp’s future at stake.

Netflix and DreamWorks Animations have just dropped the official trailer for the franchise’s latest sequel series, Boss Baby: Back in the Crib. The series sees the return of many familiar faces, including the protagonist baby, Theodor Templeton himself.

The sequel series takes place after the events of the second film, 2021’s The Boss Baby: Family Business. As the new trailer shows, the competition to gain power at Baby Corp is still strong.

The Boss Baby

After being falsely accused of embezzlement, Boss Baby will need all the help he can get, including from his big brother, Tim. Boss Baby, with the help of Tim, has to now navigate through the “cut-throat” life at Baby Corp, which has undergone some serious changes.

The first series in the franchise, Boss Baby: Back in Business, first premiered on Netflix in 2018 and takes place between the timeline of the two films. EP Brandon Sawyer said that the team was proud of the original series and wanted to bring it back for another round,

“We told young Tim and Teddy’s story, and I’d like to think we even stuck the landing before handing our baby back to the feature team. But just as we were tiptoeing out of the room, we saw what Tom McGrath and company were doing with their feature sequel, and it happened: The baby woke up. And he was very hungry for more.”
