A month before season 3’s premiere, Apple TV dropped the official trailer for the upcoming season of Mythic Quest. But the dynamic duo of Ian Grimm and David Brittlesbee, former friends and partner, seems to have undergone a drastic change. That’s right, in season 3, these friends will go up against each other as rival game developers.
The show first premiered on Apple TV in 2020 and has since enjoyed much success in the comedic genre. Seasons 3 and 4 were renewed months after the season 2 finale.
The finale witnessed Ian and Poppy parting ways from David and starting a new company, David handling Mythic Quest solo, and Brad going to jail for insider trading. But season 3 trailer shows that the friends who had parted ways will meet again, but this time as rivals.
The trailer begins by showing how both are doing well in their companies, or so it seems. Ian’s ego takes a hit when Mythic Quest handles a movie deal without his involvement, and GrimPop and Mythic Quest battle it out in the gaming space. While David and Ian face off, an overworked Poppy is left to pick up Ian’s slack, and she’s not happy about it.
Brad has rejoined Mythic Quest as a janitor this time around and discovers that all is not well at Mythic Quest as David believes it to be. Dana and Rachel struggle to keep calm in these changing times, and all of this drama will span across ten hilarious episodes.
Season 3 will topple the relationships shared by the characters for the past two seasons and test the limits of their bonds.
While the trailer has highlighted the ferocious rivalry between the two friends, with David claiming, “You’ve made a huge mistake,” the upcoming season will also explore the growing tension between new partners Ian and Poppy.
Season 3 will premiere on Apple TV, with the first two episodes airing on November 11, 2022, followed by weekly episodes every Friday.
