After their vacation, Katase and Shinozaki have reached a new level in their relationship thanks to her antics. Especially after her drunken night, Katase will likely be highly embarrassed in the morning if she remembers any of it.

The Manager will be there to remind her of everything, and Yutaka may also get involved. Shinozaki will be embarrassed and try to explain himself, although no one will believe his words.

3. Recap of Episode 8

Hayakawa is tired of work and is desperate for some time away from the city. She suggests going to the hot springs at the end of the month using their paid vacation days. The Manager overhears their conversation and gives them his approval.

They all get to the inn, where the Manager has already made reservations and arranged everything. They also have a swimming pool in the hotel, and they all put on their swimsuits. However, Katase hesitates to get in because she doesn’t know how to swim.

Shinozaki suggests helping her out and offers to make sure she’s safe. He goes to buy an inner tube to help her learn to swim but gets a sudden muscle cramp and goes under. In a desperate attempt to save him, Katase somehow swims to him and pulls him up.

Hayakawa invites Katase to the hot springs as they relax all their muscles. She has some drinks after the bath, gets incredibly drunk, and begins acting extremely straightforward with him. Desperate to regain her honor as a senpai, she feeds him food and brushes his teeth.

Once he gets sleepy, Katase tucks him into bed and gets under the same sheets. Shinozaki hears their footsteps and realizes this situation looks very wrong, so he grabs her and hides in the closet. After all their antics, Katase falls asleep out of exhaustion.

Shinozaki wraps her up and tries to put her in bed, but she refuses to let go. Although Katase has fallen asleep, she continues to mumble questions to him. The Manager and Hayakawa walk in on him, putting her in bed, and immediately jump to conclusions.

My Tiny Senpai is a Summer 2023 anime by Studio project No.9. It is inspired by a manga series by the same name that is authored and illustrated by Saisō. The anime was first announced in Fall 2022 and premiered in July 2023.

Shinozaki, an office worker, has just received a new job offer, but work turns out to be very tough. He struggles at his workplace until a very strict yet cute senpai takes him under her wing. Katase knows the ins and outs of the job, but Shinozaki hopes that his senpai will pay him more attention outside of work matters too.
