As portrayed in episode 1 of My Recently Hired Maid is Suspicious, Yuuri, a young boy who lost both of his parents in an accident, attempts to live on his own.
Soon, a young woman approached him and asked him if she could be his maid. It was even proposed that she work for free in exchange for living in the mansion.
In spite of accepting her condition, he was unsure whether he had made the right decision. As the episode progressed, Yuuri’s suspicion remained the same, and he decided to keep an eye on her. The young lady did not respond negatively when he repeatedly accused her of being a sorcerer.

Episode 2 Speculation
The next episode will feature Yuuri trying to figure out why a new maid is working for free at his house. Despite being terrified of her, he tries to appear strong in front of her.
As for Lilith, she continues to work for Yuuri despite his insulting her with some hurtful words despite trying her best to keep him happy. It will be interesting to see how Lilith reacts to more such acts in the upcoming episode.

Episode 1 Recap
In episode 1, Yuuri (a young man) talked with his staff who were resigning from their jobs because Yuuri lost both of his parents in an accident and could not afford to pay them.
As they left, they wished him luck in his future endeavors. A day later, he decided to work for himself preparing food, which he messed up and did not taste good.
Then he put too much washing powder in the machine, and it exploded, causing a bubble splash all over the floor. In order to clean his room, he used a vacuum cleaner and wiped out all the important documents, creating a mess.
After realizing how difficult it is to live without a servant in the evening, he made himself a cup of noodles while resting on the couch. As he was leaving, a beautiful young woman entered the mansion.
What’s her purpose for coming there and why is she over there? Yuuri asked her directly.
Choosing her as the new maid was the young lady’s request to Yuuri. His shock at her statement caused him to look at her with astonishment. Once he became suspicious, he explained that he was not wealthy and could not afford a maid.
According to her, she does not want any money but rather wants him to live with her. He was assured that the young maid would do all the cleaning, laundry, and cooking to his satisfaction.
In the end, Yuuri was forced to appoint her despite her resistance. While he was still deciding whether his decision was correct, she thanked him and prepared some tea.
It didn’t matter that Yuuri was still doubting his decision; the new maid had excellent cooking skills, she cleaned the mansion correctly, and she washed his clothes so that they looked and smelled good.
As a result, Yuuri accused her of being a sorcerer and she cast a spell on him to stay at his place and carry on with her shady work. He was even more terrified when she played along with him.
She was reading a cooking book at the library the other night, but he had no idea that she was actually preparing delicious meals for him. It was embarrassing for her to tell him about the cooking book, and she left with an excuse.
From washing clothes to preparing food, Yuuri watched everything she did from a distance, scared of her. After becoming angry, he approached her angrily and insulted her, which obviously broke the young lady’s heart, but she continued to smile and not cry.
Later that night, Yuuri dreamed the maid was a sorcerer who was about to kill him. After feeling thirsty that night, he went to the kitchen to prepare something and saw a woman with a book in the kitchen. After watching her for a while, he left.
On the next day, she came up with delicious food for him, and he asked her what was in it, and she said it was her “love potion.” Yuuri got scared again and warned her never to put anything like this in his food again.
Yuuri confronted the maid as she was cleaning the mirrors in the evening, and she responded by calling out his name. He was again shocked and decided to investigate her further. He found her details in the library records and found that her name was Lilith.
In order to prove that he knows more about her than she knows about him, he was expecting to call her by her name. In their conversation, he asked more about her and mentioned her name, and when she heard her name called, she blushed.
In the episode’s final scene, Yuuri’s picture was being viewed by the young lady.

My Recently Hired Maid is Suspicious is a manga series by Wakame Konbu. It was launched in the Gangan Joker magazine in January 2020 it has been licensed by Yen Press. It will also receive an anime adaptation.
The story focuses on Yuuri, a little boy who is looked after by a maid, Lilith. The maid is a superb cook, and does all chores neatly, which makes him suspicious. What ulterior motive does she have behind working free of cost? Or is she just an affectionate lady?
