The chapter begins with a flashback where Star and Stripe sits on the ground pouting. She feels demolished from all the mean comments she gets about not using her fantastic quirk to its full potential.
Most of all, what hurts her is people assuming her drawbacks result from being a girl. The guys she worked with and people who knew her, however, tell her that she’s doing the best she can and needs to stop comparing herself to All Might.
They assure her they’ll be there for her. Shigaraki understands that Star and Stripe doesn’t have a way to get rid of him right now, so she’s stalling for when she does.
She lets go of the laser rule and redirects the Tiamat missiles towards where Shigaraki is. She looks down, expecting Shigaraki to be vaporized. There, instead of a large crater, seems to be one small but deep hole.
A burnt Shigaraki flies out of the hole he had made using his decay quirk. As he does, Star and Stripe’s army comrades ask her to smash their plane along with him, making him blow up in bits.
As she proceeds to nothing that could endanger her men’s lives, we catch a glimpse of how much of a softie she actually is. Shigaraki successfully captures her. Guess nukes don’t solve everything.
