Yoshirou explains that the family business was in debt years before Miyo was born. When the Saimoris approached the Usubas, they promised Sumi their help if she married Shinichi, which Sumi did despite Yoshirou’s objections. She became estranged from her family as a result.
Yoshirou also informs Miyo of her supernatural power, Dream-Sight. When Miyo exercises her powers, she realizes her mother sealed them away to save them from abuse. Arata subsequently explains to Miyo her job as the Maiden of the Dream-Sight and his duty to protect her. In the meantime, Kiyoka and his troops combat the Grotesqueries.
He protects Godou, though, he falls unconscious. After the sealing of Miyo’s powers is removed the next day, she is surprised to learn of Kiyoka’s condition. When Miyo expresses her desire to see Kiyoka again, Arata discloses to her that the Emperor wishes for her to remain with the Usubas indefinitely due to her existence and skill.
Despite the implications, Yoshirou lets Miyo go, and Arata transports her to Kiyoka. Miyo chooses to utilize her skills to save Kiyoka when she visits him.

My Happy Marriage(Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) is a romance and fantasy light novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Fujimi Shobo publishes the series under its Fujimi L Bunko imprint since January 2019.
It follows a Cinderella-like plot with the protagonist Miyo being treated like a servant by her family and her being married off to the cold and ruthless military commander, Kiyoka Kudou. Over time, Miyo discovers that Kudou is actually a warm and kind-hearted gentleman while getting over her insecurities and building up her damaged self-esteem.
