In episode 20, titled “The Birth of my Little Sister, the Maid,” Zanoba visited Rudeus in the dungeon. Zanoba wanted to know the artist who made the Ruijerd and Roxy statues.
Rudeus found something odd in the Roxy statue and revealed it to Zanoba. He used the opportunity to free himself by using Zanoba. Ruijerd and Eris discovered the families of the guards were kept hostage by prince Pax and decided to save them.
Zanoba made Pax set Rudeus free by blackmailing him. Rudeus got an unexpected gift from Sylphie. Aisha knew all along that it was her brother as the kennel master.

Episode 21 Discussion
Everything played out well in the end for Rudeus and his team. As he got to save his family, Aisha knew it was Rudeus all along. It was an excellent episode for Dead End.
Rudeus went along with Man-God’s advice and saved Aisha and Lillia. What will Rudeus and his team find as they get to their Fittoa? Will Eris finally find out about her family’s situation?
The next episode will reveal how the adventures for team Dead End will play out. The team will find more unexpected facts due to the teleportation incident. We’ll have to wait and see how the series unfolds as the episodes get released for the anime.

Episode 20 Recap
This episode starts with the events of Aisha and Lilia after the beam teleported them from their village. They later find themselves at the Shirone kingdom and ask for Roxy. Pax puts Aisha and Lilia in prison as they knew Roxy.
Back to the present, Rudeus, caught in the barrier, hopes Ruijerd and Eris will save him. Later someone enters the room and introduces himself as the third prince, Zanoba. Zanoba displays the Ruijerd statue and questions Rudeus on how he found it.
Thinking this might get him in trouble, Rudeus says he got it at a market and doesn’t know the artist. Zanoba then reveals another statue that portrays Roxy. Rudeus looking at it, realized it was the one he had made long ago.
Zanoba states Pax purchased the figure because Roxy was their court mage. Zanoba then explains how the statue is made elegantly with its pose and structure. Having a perverted mind, Zanoba tells the robe can be detached. He then says how separating the robe reveals an innocent girl.
Zanoba finds the sculpture to be magnificent beyond any artist he knows. Rudeus gets flattered but finds a mole missing under the armpit of the statue. Zanoba says it was distracting, so he removed it. Rudeus explains why the mole is vital to the statue, and Zanoba realizes it.
Zanob a is astonished to find Rudeus is the artist behind such sculpture and can fix it. He states he’s followed Rudeus’s work since he discovered it and wants to call him master. As he tries to show his loyalty, he finds the barrier to be absurd.
Meanwhile, Ruijerd, Eris, and Aisha meet with the palace guards. They find out that the guards request their help to rescue their families. The guards explain that prince Pax keeps their families hostage to control them, and Aisha confirms the fact.
As Eris accepts to help them, Ruijerd tells her he’ll go instead, for she needs to be with Aisha. Later Rudeus tells Zanoba if he can’t get him out of the barrier, he won’t take him as his pupil. Zanoba knows what he must do and plans to deal with Pax.
Eris and Aisha find the palace in some commotion. They find out Zanoba is carrying Pax by his head, taking him to Rudeus. Eris goes to check the situation. As Zanoba gets Pax in the dungeon, a few guards try to stop him. Zanoba tells Pax to free Rudeus, or he’ll face pain.
Pax replies he won’t and tells the guards to halt Zanoba, or their families will pay for it. Eris, hearing the statement mentions their families are safe as Ruijerd will rescue them. With Pax having no choice, he sets Rudues free.
Rudues finds the situation confusing, but is happy the mission ended on a good note. Ruijerd brings the families to safety, and Rudues understands there was a secret plan that he wasn’t aware of. Later Dead End gets ready for their journey, and Rudeus gets his box from Lillia.
He finds a necklace in it and wonders about it. Lillia says Sylphie wanted to give the chain as his tenth birthday gift. Aisha then approaches him and wants to tag along with them as her mother wants her to serve her brother when she is older, but she doesn’t want to.
Rudeus then gives her his headband and says holding on a token of someone she admires is reassuring. Aisha understands what he means, and they bid farewell.
As she leaves, Aisha says to Rudues she’s sorry for calling him a pervert. Rudeus and Lillia get surprised as they go separately on their journe ys.
