In the cheeky featurette called “Welcome Foolish Mortals,” fans can explore the magnificent sets of the movie based on the Disneyland ride and admire the intricate details featured in the extravagant sets.
The video also gives a glimpse of the famous Hitchhiking Ghosts from the ride, who will surely make an appearance in the films and are sure to scare the bejesus out of us!

The previous adaptation, which has a niche fan base today, was a flop with critics and audiences when it came out.
Nevertheless, the new director, Justin Simien, seems confident that he has learned from its mistakes and that he and his team were meticulous about every detail, including “the angle you first see the mansion.”
Simien’s Haunted Mansion goes beyond the superficial references of Murphy’s movie and delves deeper into the ride’s lore. The film explores the dark histories of the mansion’s ghosts and features some of the most iconic elements of the attraction, such as the Hatbox Ghost and the stretching room. This could be the perfect balance of scares and laughs the ride’s fans have been waiting for.
