Modern Warfare 3 will feature MW2 maps but there’s a twist

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a thrilling series filled with exciting missions and a storyline that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The third installment, which is right around the corner, will feature the classic solo campaign, an open-world Zombies mode, and much more.

A Call of Duty insider, who goes by the handle @ModernWarzone on X, revealed that the remastered maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will differ from the original. For example, previously inaccessible buildings will now have doors which will allow players to enter and use these buildings to their advantage.

Rumor: The remastered Modern Warfare 2 maps in #MWIII will contain some differences from the original.

It has also been reported that the maps set in daytime could be turned to night. These new changes open up several possibilities for players to explore.

Modern Warfare III will introduce open-combat missions which will allow players to navigate their game strategy during a mission including their combat approach and loadout. This will tackle stealth, special-ops activities, taking down enemies, and more.

Although the 10-minute gameplay trailer did not include any Zombies, there is a full-fledged showcase event planned for October 5th which will focus on the open-world Zombies mode. It will be interesting to see the deadly monsters in action.

As confirmed, the first PlayStation exclusive beta goes live on October 6th at 10am PT and will continue until October 10th 10am PT. Those who have pre-ordered the game can join between October 6th and 7th. Rest of PlayStation users can access the game on the last two days of the beta run.

The second beta test will be held from October 12th till October 13th. This is available for all PlayStation players and those who have pre-ordered the game on Xbox and PC. The final beta, which is open for all, is scheduled from October 14th till October 16th.

Lara Croft was recently announced as a guest character in a Call of Duty title. Of course, the franchise is no stranger to collaborations so be prepared for an exciting project!
