The adventurers had no option but to escape through the well with few villagers. Still, the danger isn’t over yet since the monsters are most likely to follow them to the grasslands.

Episode 10 Preview & Speculation
Episode 10 is titled “The Invasion of the Monster Army.” From the title it’s pretty clear that warriors will be confronting the monster army once again in the grasslands.
However, the huge acid-spilling monster won’t be present this time, and rather, it will be an army of human-sized goblins that we saw in the final seconds of the previous episode.
The movements of these monsters aren’t like that of those orcs from the Jiffon island. So, Yotsuya is suspecting that these monsters are being controlled by some evil mastermind.

Episode 9 Recap
In Episode 9, the monsters breached through the wall and invaded Zagreb as if it was some child’s play. Since Iris has lost the key sealing the monsters, the adventurers had no other option but to flee.
Yotsuya infers that their mission is to save the Zagreb village from complete destruction, so saving few villagers may be enough. He plans to escape with as many people as possible through the well.
Glenda crafts a makeshift ladder with wood and ropes that leads everyone deep down into the well. Chief, Iris, Jazzbe, Ranun and Flock were the first ones to escape followed by the warriors.
They were relieved to see that the cave opens up into the cave that most probably leads to the grasslands. Yotsuya speculates that he noticed an anomaly in the movements of the monsters, as they were nothing like that of those orcs in the Jiffon Island.
He is suspecting that there is some evil mastermind behind this invasion who is pulling strings from the darks. If that’s the case, the easiest way to stop this destruction is to defeat the mastermind.
After walking for few kilometres, everyone finally reaches the open grasslands. But the danger isn’t gone yet since the monster army is most likely following them through their scent.
Can the warriors ensure the safety of these surviving villagers? We have to wait for the upcoming episodes to find that out.
About I’m Standing on a Million Lives
I’m Standing on a Million Lives is a manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao. The manga began serialization in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine on June 9, 2016.
The story revolves around Yotsuya Yuusuke, who is transported to another world along with his classmates Shindou Iu and Hakozaki Kusue.
Mythological creatures inhabit this new world. As soon as they arrive, they are greeted by the Game Master, who then grants them a time-limited quest.
Shindou and Hakozaki are given the roles of a Magician and a Warrior to aid the quest. But Yotsuya is randomly assigned the role of a Farmer.
Hence they begin their Isekai adventure for the three, with Yotsuya’s farmer class being the odd one. They must do random quests and defeat monsters they encounter.
