2. Episode 7 Speculation

Eiji is acting suspiciously. After the night incident of Metry’s haunting, he is unable to eat. Even when he does, he ends up throwing up. Eiji is somehow connected to Metry’s death, but it is strange as he was only five years old then. A five-year-old being behind somebody’s murder seems highly unlikely.

There is also the mystery of Micchan’s disappearance. The beheaded doll could only point to one thing. If Micchan has been killed, then is the killer the same person who murdered Metry? Micchan’s body must also be skillfully hidden somewhere in the Ichijou’s household or the village.

The answers to all these questions will be given as the story progresses. The Sonoyama family is also concerned about Hitori and his “stealing” of Eiji’s button. We might see some Sonoyama family moments as well.

3. Recap of Episode 6

The episode begins with Dali wondering about Micchan’s sudden disappearance. The beheaded doll feels like a bad sign. He goes to Migi and tells him about his findings. The attic of the Ichijou’s secret room has a diorama of the Origon village, and they have data on every resident. Every villager is under surveillance.

Dali tells Migi that the best course of action will be to return home, which they call their base of operations. However, Migi protests, saying he can get closer to the Ichijou family, but refuses to explain his methods to Dali. The scene cuts to Migi crying out like a toddler and asking the mother to tell him everything about the Ichijou’s house as he is a “baby” and does not understand anything.

The mother shuts him up with a pacifier, threatening him that children cannot ask questions like this and that he is overacting. Migi decides to be the perfect child out of spite. He fully embodies the role of a toddler.

Dali barely stifles his laughter, which makes Migi embarrassed, but he still plays off his part well. The mother comments how he is now truly a part of the Ichijou family.

Migi can now be part of the dinner table, and Dali takes his position under the table in order to experiment. Migi asks a lot of questions, and Dali notices if there are any tells that can show if the Ichijou’s are lying. Migi questions if Eiji has ever wet his bed, which leads to the biggest tell yet. The mother tells Migi that this will be the end of his stay and he can leave tomorrow. Migi and Dali are disappointed at the lack of results.

However, their mother’s memory makes them take action. They go over everything they know one by one. Their mother was a housemaid in this house, the Ichijou’s are surveilling the entire village, the mother only carried out Hitori’s conditioning when the dad was not home, and Eiji occasionally wets his bed.
