This legendary street-racing anime series is a beloved show by every car lover. It taught us that a great car doesn’t make a great driver. Instead, it’s the driver’s skill that can make a Toyota beat a Ferrari.

Honestly, I missed an excellent racing anime, and knowing that Initial D creators are giving us an anime of the same theme thrilled me. What’s even better is throwing the excitement level off the roof.

The upcoming MF Ghost anime revealed in its latest promotional video that the series is bringing back the legendary Eurobeat soundtrack for the show’s 2023 premiere.

If you want to get a taste of nostalgia, then this promo video checks all the boxes. The bone-chilling animation of cars racing with Eurobeat music is bliss for every Initial D fan.

The focus is on a red Toyota 86 driven by the series’ protagonist, Kanata Livington. He is a 19-year-old racer from London who trained under Initial D’s Takumi Fujiwara and is a Formula 4 racer.

It’s pretty suspicious to see why such a talented young racer would come to Japan and participate in street racing. Kanata’s arrival in the Japanese street-racing world is motivated by his goal to find his long-lost father.

The franchise has also revealed the staff working on the anime, and we have the list right here for you:
