Summary

  • The official Twitter account of LINE manga announced a webtoon adaptation of ‘Metallic Rogue.’
  • The webtoon will launch on March 7, 2024.
  • Meika Tokyo and Chita Tsurushima are drawing the webtoon.

It is a common occurrence for webtoons to receive an anime adaptation. However, it is incredibly rare for the opposite to be true. The recently released original anime ‘Metallic Rouge’ is breaking the conventional rule and is receiving a webtoon adaptation.

The official X/Twitter account of the LINE Manga app revealed that ‘Metallic Rouge’ is getting a full-color webtoon adaptation. The webtoon will launch on March 7, 2024. Meika Tokyo and Chita Tsurushima are drawing the webtoon.

The original anime premiered on January 10, 2024. Motonobu Hori is directing ‘Metallic Rogue’ at BONES. Yume Miyamoto stars in the series as the android girl Rouge Redmaster.

The anime takes place in a world where humans and androids coexist. And Rogue, an android girl, is on a mission on Mars to murder Immortal Nine, nine artificial humans who are hostile to the government.

The anime has gained incredible popularity, but it is still a mystery why they decided to remake it as a webtoon. Now, whether the webtoon will follow the original story or take a different approach isn’t revealed yet.

However, there is a vast possibility of ‘Metallic Rouge’ adapting the anime story and taking a detour later since they will probably run out of source material. It will be interesting to see the direction the webtoon will take. Until then, keep an eye on new updates.
