Me and Roboco Anime Promo Video Reveals Cast, Theme Song Artists

On November 13, the official website for the anime adaptation of Shūhei Miyazaki’s Me & Roboco manga released a new promotional video previewing the theme song titled “lol” by the band Gang Parade. The anime is set to premiere on TV Tokyo on December 4 and its affiliate channels.

The promotional video also revealed the cast. The anime will star:

The series is being produced and animated by Studio Gallop with Akitaro Daichi as director. Other key staff members include assistant director Michihiro Sato, series composition writer Sayuro Ooba and character designer Yuko Ebara.

Me & Roboco is set in a world where most families own a cute robot maid. The manga’s plot revolves around an average elementary school kid named Bondo who hopes for a robot maid too. However, the robot maid he ends up getting is anything but average and not what he was expecting.

The manga is being published in English by Shueisha’s MANGA Plus and Viz Media. Additionally, Viz Media began digitally releasing compiled volumes of the manga in October 2021.

The manga was first launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2020. Shueisha published the 10^th compiled volume on October 4 Viz media released the 5^th compiled volume on October 25.

About Me & Roboco

Me & Roboco is a manga series by Shūhei Miyazaki which started serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2020. Both MANGA Plus and Viz Media publish the manga’s chapter digitally in English.

It is set in an unknown year in a futuristic Japan. Every family owns a maid robot, except Bondo, our protagonist. He somehow manages to get a maid, but she turns out to be a buff woman who can smash trucks but is bad at housework.

Thus ensues the many adventures of Bondo accompanied by his impossibly strong and emotional AI maid.
