Mashin Hero Wataru to Resume Airing, Episode 3 on June 19

The current pandemic hasn’t been easy on the animation industry in Japan. It has led to several delays in episode releases. After airing only two episodes, Mashin Hero Wataru: The Seven Spirits of Ryujinmaru went on hiatus along with the rest of the season.

Thankfully, Mashin Hero Wataru: The Seven Spirits of Ryujinmaru will return with its third episode on 19th June. Its official twitter page tweeted a video teasing its viewers with a look of its studio.

It will be premiered on the YouTube BANDAI SPIRITS official channel. Stay tuned for next week’s delivery!

The video showed an empty studio and the script for the episode surrounded by the action figures it had recently released. It also announced that the 3rd episode will air on BANDAI SPIRITS YouTube channel at 8:00 am on the 19th. The studio assured fans that it will announce the date for the 4th episode as soon as it is decided. 

The 3rd episode was originally supposed to air on 8th May and the 4th on 22nd May. But studio Sunrise aired the 1st episode with commentary on 8th due to the delay.

The series is divided into two halves, the first half includes episodes 1-4 and the second includes the rest of the four episodes. Fans don’t need to worry as the second half of the anime is still set to air in fall.

Mashin Hero Wataru: The Seven Spirits of Ryujinmaru is an original net animation that acts as the follow up for the fantasy/mecha anime that first aired in 1988. It depicts Wataru’s latest adventure. Wataru’s robot Ryujin Maru has fallen apart into seven unique Mechas in the battle with unidentified enemy Dobazuda.  Wataru and his friends must now he mirrored world of Reverse Mt. Sokai to bring him back together. The series is being directed by Hiroshi Koujina and Momoko Makiuchi is credited with the character designs for the series.
