Make-A-Wish Raffle to Feature Captain America Shield Autographed by MCU Stars

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has organized a raffle benefitting the Northeast New York chapter, involving the uniquely designed Captain America Shield featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The shield is signed by MCU stars Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Wyatt Russell.

All four actors have sported the iconic Captain America symbol in one of more films in the MCU. Chris Evans played Steve Rogers, the original Captain America.

Anthony Mackie plays Sam Wilson, who succeeded Rogers by taking up the batten of Captain America after he retired.

Sebastian Stan plays Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier) and Captain America’s trusted friend, while Russell can be seen as an US Agent, another incarnation of the superhero in the MCU series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

In other words, all the actors who autographed the uniquely designed shield used in the raffle have been part of the Captain America storyline in one way or the other. The shield itself was donated by Sebastian Stan himself, who also said,

“There are only six of these shields made and this is the only one with these signatures on it. It is unique in that perspective. There is no other one like it.”

The four stars have recently collaborated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to create a special shield featuring the symbols of Captain America and related characters including the Winter Soldier and U.S. Agent.

The shield is 25 inches in diameter and is made of metal with leather straps, signed by Evans, Mackie, Stan and Russell respectively.

The unique Marvel collectible can be won by MCU fans if they purchase tickets for the raffle, at $25 each (or five for $100). Here’s the official post by Make-A-Wish Foundation, featuring Sebastian Stan with the shield:

The winners of the giveaway will be announced on 26th March, 2022. Apart from contributing to a good cause, this is a unique opportunity for MCU fans to bag a unique collector’s item for their MCU merchandise collection.

Captain America is still one of Marvel’s most popular and successful superheroes, even after the retirement of Steve Rogers as Cap after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

In fact, a Captain America 4 has reportedly been in development in the MCU Studios.

Not much is known about the upcoming project, except Mackie is all set to reprise his role as Captain America in the film. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier writers Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson are reportedly penning the script for the film.

You can watch all films featuring Captain America on Disney+.
