3. Recap of Episode 18

Episode 18, titled, “We’ve Come This Far” begins with Chisato scoring a few runs for the team. Tao goes for batting next, followed by Daigo. While Michiru was balling, she recognized Mr.Shigeno standing and watching the match in the stadium. As he was her idol she always looked up to him, she decides to do an overthrow to show him that she’s good at what she does.

Daigo missed the first ball but then he was able to score more runs in the next two balls. Michiru feels a little nervous but then she hears her teammate scream to not give up. This takes us to a small flashback where they show how her teammates are supportive and helped her become better at baseball.

Daigo was able to secure more runs and Fuurin team takes the lead in the match. As their positions switch, Sawa goes for pitching and she earns an out, they required another out and they would’ve been good to go but she by mistake does a hit by pitch. Then Daigo asks for a timeout, Nishina out of concern requests to switch with Sawa. Daigo then gets to know that Sawa had hurt her elbow previously, but then she explains that it is completely healed and confirmed by the doctor as well.

At the end of the episode, Sawa threw a forkball and the batter was able to hit the ball, Will Sakuta be able to catch the ball in time?
