Reg meets Faputa in episode 4 of Made in Abyss season 2, titled “Friend.”
However, their meeting was short, and Faputa’s mischiefs forced Reg to go away. Rico gets a new companion, and it is the hollow that earlier almost killed Meinya.
The tree sages made their debut in this episode. Nanachi meets Mitty again, and we see Belaf as well. Belaf’s hollow form was pretty dope. Overall, it was an eventful episode, and a lot is going around here.

Episode 5 Speculations
Reg, Nanachi, and Riko will continue their adventure in episode 5 of Made in Abyss season 2.
Vuelo’s condition at the end of episode 4 really deepens the mystery around the sixth layer and what is going on. The show is well-paced, with all the secrets intact, increasing the anxiousness to know the truth behind the place.
Faputa’s entry will affect the story drastically as she holds the secret to Reg’s past. Mitty showing up was one of the most unexpected incidents and has only increased the hype around the show. I don’t even want to think about what will come next.

Episode 4 Recap
Reg meets Faputa and Faputa acts as if she knows him. Reg gets some blurry flashback where he can see Faputa’s face. He gets confused about whether he knows her or not.
Seeing so many hollows together, Faputa gets anxious and takes Reg away with her. Nanachi and Majikaja are going around the market discussing balancing and other things around the place.
Majikaja asks her what she values most. She takes the name of Mitty and her other two companions. Majikaja is surprised to hear Mitty’s name and confirms that Belaf of the three sages is using the Mitty they are talking about. Nanachi is shocked to hear that.
Reg finds himself in a small cave. Faputa approaches him and tries to talk to him. He asks whether he knows her or not. He doesn’t seem to remember anything. Faputa starts inspecting his body to confirm whether he is the Reg she knows.
While inspecting, she hurts him and even tastes his blood. She finally confirms that he is the real Reg, but by now, Reg gets angry and leaves her. Telling her that the name “Reg” was given to him by Riko on the surface.
Rico ventures out to find Nanachi and Reg. She is followed by some hollows who guide her toward a dark alley where some hollows try to eat her and Meinya. However, the hollow that tried to kill Meinya before interferes and saves them.
The balancing process starts again, and it engulfs all the hollows responsible for the incident. Riko tells that hollow to join her and names him Maaa. She goes to the market to eat some food where the chef also speaks her language and introduces her to Wazukyan, one of the three sages.
Majikaja takes Nanachi to Belaf’s place, where she is surprised to see Mitty with Belaf.
About Made In Abyss
An orphaned girl named Riko lives in the Belchero Orphanage in the town of Orth.
The town surrounds a strange, giant hole going deep into the Earth, which is commonly called the Abyss.
The Abyss harbours artefacts and remnants of a civilization long gone, and is, therefore, the popular hunting spot for so-called Cave Raiders, who undertake arduous and dangerous descents into the mist-filled pit to recover whatever relics they can find.
Some legendary Cave Raiders earn the title of White Whistle, one of them being Riko’s mother, Lyza.
Riko’s longing in life is to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a White Whistle. One day she discovers a robot resembling a human boy in the Abyss and names him Reg.
Riko and her friends sneak Reg into Belchero and quickly welcome him into their close-knit group.
Sometime later, a balloon reaches the surface from the depths of the Abyss containing pages of discoveries made by Lyza, as well as a message for Riko stating she is waiting at the bottom of the Abyss.
Riko, determined to find her mother, bids farewell to her friends and departs to the Abyss with Reg as her companion.
