Loki S2 Can Complete Loki’s Transformation from Villain to Hero

Season 2 of Marvel Studios’ Loki might finally wrap up the God of Mischief’s journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tom Hiddleston has been playing Loki since 2011’s Thor, and his character has been developed more than most others in the franchise.

In Phase 4, a different version of Loki explores the secrets of the multiverse and attempts to uncover the enigmatic creator of the TVA, He Who Remains, a variant of Kang the Conqueror.

Loki season 2 was announced in the post-credits scene of season 1, hinting at his importance as a significant force in the battle against Kang in Phase 6 of the MCU.

After Loki’s epic face-off with He Who Remains at the end of season 1, he got sent to a different TVA that’s no longer under the Time-Keepers’ control but instead is run by some version of Kang.

Even though Mobius didn’t recognize Loki, we got some insightful post-credits scenes in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania teasing that they’re going to team up again to learn more about Kang.

Loki’s transformation from a self-centered and petty God to someone hell-bent on saving the multiverse from Kang will unfold right before our eyes in season 2.

On the D23: Inside Disney podcast, producer Stephen Broussard revealed that Loki season 2 would kick off with a fresh and heroic storyline for our favorite trickster.

We got a taste of this new direction at the end of season 1 when Loki and his female variant Sylvie were given a tough choice by, He Who Remains: either take over and maintain the Sacred Timeline or kill him and let the multiverse go wild.

While Sylvie was all about vengeance and opted for the latter, Loki had a lot to consider regarding the greater good of the multiverse.

This will cause a paradigm shift in Loki’s character in the MCU, which looks more heroic than ever!

If he keeps heading in this direction, we might even see him teaming up with Thor to take on Kang the Conqueror and all his different versions in Phase 6.

With the Council of Kangs out for blood, the Avengers will need all the help they can muster, and Loki will be the perfect guy to join the team in upcoming films like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Loki joining the Avengers will be an epic moment in the franchise’s history. The first Avengers movie portrayed him as the major antagonist who wanted to dethrone Thor and was willing to go to any lengths to do so.

His goals seem to have shifted after learning about Kang’s intentions, and he’s not just out for power anymore.

Plus, let’s not forget that he already joined forces with his brother Thor and some other allies in Thor: Ragnarok, so he’s surely capable of being a hero.

Loki season 2 will set him up for an even bigger and more heroic adventure in the MCU.
