In the war against Alvs, the Emperor pent up in his capital and left the dukes to fight them, destroying the dukes of Ninetail and Fourland. As Alvs were destroyed, they left a curse, which turned the capital into a dungeon.
The Imperial Dynasty got annihilated fighting the demons, so the Duke of Woodell and the Senate decided to resume a government in the land of Ikoma. But the Duke of Maihama refused to take orders from someone not from the Royal Family, and since then, the east and west haven’t been getting along.
In the present day, Plant Hwyden is in control of the Westerlande and Indicus is pulling strings from the shadows to stand at the top and rule all over Yamato.
Eins has been granted the title of Duke of Akiba by the Saiguu Family, and Princess Rayneshia is getting married off to the head of the Saiguu Family to lower the tensions between east and west.
Meanwhile, a messenger from Saiguu Family pays a visit to Rayneshia and deliver a letter to her. He also delivers a verbal message that all preparations for marriage are in place and Rayneshia should come to the capital city Kyo for the marriage ceremony.
In the next Round Table Conference, Eins justifies his decision of accepting the title of Duke and declares that Honesty will secede from Round Table. He also announces the formation of a new assembly to govern over Akiba, Akiba Government.

Log Horizon is a Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara.
It began serialization online in 2010 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, being later on acquired by Enterbrain and published as a light novel in Japan since 2011.
The plot is set in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game called Elder Tale.
