But taking down the Genius is becoming harder of a task for the inexperienced raid players than they had ever banked on.
With Akatsuki shattering through Ereinus power to break opponents’ will, Minori’s raid party has received a new light of hope. Will the players succeed on their first ever raid? Or will Ereinus get the better of the amateur raid party?
As we bet on the beginners’ luck of Minori’s party, here are the updates on the next episode of Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai.
1. Episode 12 Preview and Discussion
“My lord is… my lord!” That’s right, and no Genius can quaver Akatsuki’s feelings for Shiroe. Just as Minori was losing sight of what to do, Akatsuki comes snapping the whole party back to their senses.
With everyone’s morale restored, Minori’s raid party face the Raid Boss with a fresh look at the situation and tread the heels of a new strategy, trusting their comrades.
In the next episode, we will see how Minori will take the command and lead the Akiba Hall Raid Party to a victory, freeing everyone affected by the Genius’ powers.
The preview of the next episode even hints at Minori confronting Shiroe about her feelings.
2. Episode 12 Release Date
Episode 12 of the Log Horizon anime, titled “Song of the Nightingales”, has been released on Wednesday, Mar 31, 2021.

3. Episode 11 Recap
A majority of the Adventurers gets thrown inside a dungeon created using Akiba’s map data by Despair Genius, Ereinus.
Since all adventures above level 70 got forcibly demoted to level 35, Shiroe entrusts the task of defeating the ringleader to Minori and adventurers of other guilds who are below Level 70.
To challenge the raid, Minori creates a party with the 23 other members available at the Guild Building and head towards the top floor, where Shiroe suspects Ereinus to be.
As for almost everyone, this was their first raid, Minori steps up as commander.
In four groups of six, the Akiba Hall Raid Party fights their way up to the top floor, with Touya as a tank. After fighting the heavy scourge of monsters, the party finally the Raid Boss.
Meanwhile, Shiroe and other high-level adventurers are waiting outside the Guild building for the out-turn.
At the top floor, adventurers face off the Raid Boss, Ereinus: Genius. Everyone works in formations to bring down the Boss’ HP, which seemed to be going in their favor.
However, Raid Bosses change their forms and attack pattern when their HP gets low, and Ereinus starts targeting adventurers’ memories, making them lose their hope to fight.
This pushes them on edge, and Ereinus even manages to bring down Touya’s HP to zero. Minori also starts to lose hope and just as she about to give in fighting Genius, Akatsuki brings a ray of light for the adventurers.
4. About Log Horizon
Log Horizon is a Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara.
It began serialization online in 2010 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, being later on acquired by Enterbrain and published as a light novel in Japan since 2011.
The plot is set in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game called Elder Tale.
During the release of the game’s twelfth expansion pack, thirty thousand Japanese gamers were transported to a virtual reality world as their respective characters.
With no way out, Shiroe and his friends team up to form a guild called “Log Horizon” to survive in this challenging world.
