The newly released trailers and visuals have been quite interesting, but wait till you actually see the main promotional video! Uramichi, the protagonist, has dead eyes and a dead soul, but the way he disguises them is nothing short of miraculous.
Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan, the upcoming anime series, will premiere on 5th July in Japan! After a delay due to production issues, the anime will soon debut to make us laugh while questioning our lives.
The main trailer of the anime has just been released!
The trailer opens with Uramichi living his sad adult life while watching the TV show he works at. Ironically, this realist and pessimistic man works for a children’s show.
Different characters and their relation with Uramichi are shown as well as his tendency to flip his personality in a split second. I pity the costumed people in the show who he regularly bullies.
ABC Exercise, the anime’s opening theme by Mamoru Miyano and Nana Mizuki is previewed in the trailer but stands highly contrasting Uramichi’s negative attitude. The cover photo for the song’s release is also revealed:

The anime has a wonderful cast and cast selection! For starters, Hiroshi Kamiya, the cast of Attack on Titan’s Levi, is voicing Uramichi. Top voice actors like Miyano Mamoru, Yuichi Nakamura, and others are also on the cast list!
From the looks of the trailer, Studio Blanc is doing a fairly good job at bringing the unique anime to life.
This is one of the top anime in my Summer 2021 watchlist, and believe me, there are tons of gorgeous series and anime that have been listed for release this year! Yet, I am sure that Uramichi will manage to stand out among all other series.

Life Lessons of Uramichi-Oniisan is a manga by Gaku Kuze. It was released in 2017 in the Comic POOL digital manga magazine.
Uramichi is a 31-year-old man who works at a broadcasting company. He is in charge of a physical exercises block for a children’s educational channel.
However, his sad and realistic personality seeps through his fake smile. He advises the kids on grave adult matters out of the blue as the kids struggle to understand what is being said to them.
