Liar, Liar Episode 1 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Liar, Liar is an upcoming anime based on the light novel and manga written by Haruki Kuo and illustrated by Konomi. The series has been running since 2019 and will be adapted by Geek Toys studio.

The anime revolves around Academy Island, a mysterious school where students challenge each other through numerous games in an attempt to win stars. Hiroto, who newly joins the school, shocks everyone with his inherent skills in deceit by beating the strongest student and upsets the balance of the school.

Geek Toys have picked up the anime, which will be produced by Kadokawa and CyberAgent to be soon streamed on Crunchyroll. The studio is well known for adapting the Date A Live series as well as Hensuki, so we can look forward to an exciting series this summer. 

Episode 1 Speculation 

The first episode will introduce us to Hiroto, the protagonist who seems to be unassuming at the start but holds a hidden talent. Immediately upon entering the academy, he will fight against the strongest Empress on the Island in a game where he stakes everything and will be the start of his journey.

Hiroto is also accompanied by a maid guide who helps him navigate the Island, but his skills in deceit and trickery are still all his effort. As hinted by the trailer, the episode should be more of an introductory type, revolving around Hiroto’s backstory and how he ends up on Academy Island.

The story takes us to Academy Island where a student’s rank is determined by the number of stars he/she can collect in a special type of duel called ‘game.’
