Leaker reveals release window for Red Dead Redemption 1 Remaster

There have been rumors of a Red Dead Redemption Remake for quite a while now. Leakers, hackers and industry insiders have suggested that Rockstar Games is working on a reboot or a remake for the renowned Red Dead Redemption 2 prequel.

Recently, @Budzcario on Twitter has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 1 Remaster will be released on November 17th, 2023. In the tweet, it was mentioned that this would be the “surprise of the century.” To keep the deception up, Rockstar Games has been feeding leaked information to the developers.

There was leaked footage of Red Dead Redemption 1 Remaster in 2022. It was confirmed from the testing and development stage in early 2020.

In the same thread, it was mentioned that the official announcement would come from Rockstar Games in August. The target platforms are PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

While the graphics and the textures are not the most flattering in the leaked development video, @Budzcario explained that the build was from devs who worked on gameplay-related content.

Other builds focus on different aspects of the game, such as models, graphics, textures and physics, which are merged into a finished product only in the alpha or beta build stages and for trailers.

This rumor must be taken with a grain of salt as there are barely any sources to confirm this. The announcement window of August is not far, and soon we will know if there’s some element of truth in this leak.

Rockstar Games is also working on Grand Theft Auto: 6. According to @Budzcario, it’s unlikely that Rockstar worked on RDR 2 and GTA VI in parallel. Considering Rockstar Game’s usual 5-year game cycle, GTA VI may come out in 2025.

Most of the rumors are wilder than the Wild West that gamers can explore in Red Dead Redemption 2. So, we will just have to wait and see what the future entails for these games.
