The anime has always been the perfect remedy for a bad day and realizing that the movie might be the last time we see our favorite characters camping is heartbreaking. However, that doesn’t mean we are not excited to see Rin and her friends all grown up.

Yes, you read that right. Laid-Back Camp anime’s upcoming film will feature our favorite characters as adults with jobs and an original story that isn’t in the manga.

The franchise will hold a special screening in Tokyo on June 19, and the Japanese theatrical release is on July 1, 2022.

The trailer previews the girls camping and enjoying the fireworks. After the timeskip, Rin works at a publisher in Nagoya and gets a text from Chiaki to work on a special project.

Chiaki works at a tourism promotion company and is in charge of turning an abandoned site into a tourist attraction. Rin suggests she renovate such a huge field into a campsite, resulting in the Outdoor Activities Circle reuniting.

Now dressed up in construction gear, the girls begin to work on the plot while getting nostalgic about their school days. The video radiates warm and refreshing energy as many old faces are teased.

It’s pretty clear that everyone will miss the Outdoor Activities Circle and their wholesome camping trips. Honestly, I wish we had more of it.

Although the movie might be the last of Laid-Back Camp, that isn’t going to stop me from rewatching the whole series again.
