Kyoshin to Hyouka Anime DELAYED Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Almost anyone would be upset if their much-anticipated anime gets canceled and the unending lockdown is making the situation even worse.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a lot of anime and manga releases are getting postponed much to the dismay of the fans.

Kyoshin to Hyouka or The Giant Gods and the Ice Flower Castle is a short anime that was supposed to air this month. However, the pandemic has delayed the production and the release.

The official site of the anime announced the delay in broadcasting on 22nd May.

The Kyoshin to Hyouka team apologized to fans for the inconvenience. There is no concrete release date for the anime as of yet.

Updates on broadcasting dates will be posted on the social media sites of the anime. It was supposed to air on TV and on Youtube.

The cast for some of the characters has been posted on the official site:

Shiro – Yuli Otani (Pikachu in The Pokémon movie: Coco, Morgana in Persona 5 video game)

Goron – Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online, Mob psycho 100)

Time Eight – Ayumu Murase (Joe in Parasyte, Yuji in Assassination classroom)

Madder – Minami Takahashi (Megumi Tadakoro in Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma)

The director and character designer is Okamoto, who has also worked on Mecha-Ude and fans have a lot of expectations from him. The theme song by Lien is produced by Half H. P studio. Takeshi Takadera is the sound director.

About Kyoshin to Hyouka

The story is based in the city of Minamishimabara, which is in the Nagasaki prefecture. Shiro and Akane are childhood friends who have met each other after a long time.

Both of them were lost in nostalgia when suddenly a peculiar creature called Goron appears in front of them. The encounter with this creature causes many fateful incidents in this once famous city.
