Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is an upcoming adaptation of the rom-com manga written and illustrated by Nene Yukimori and published by Shueisha in 2019.
The story revolves around Junta Shiraishi, an introverted high school student who is so anti-social that not even his classmates or teachers acknowledge his presence, rendering him “invisible” and entirely outside every social circle.
His life begins taking a turn when his classmate Kubo starts taking an interest in him and making him go out of his comfort zone and be noticed by everyone else. Pine Jam studio is adapting the series, and we can expect it to be a wholesome comfort watch for many rom-com enjoyers.
Episode 1 Speculation
Episode 1 will introduce us to our protagonist Junta Shiraishi and showcase his social situation in school, being completely excluded from everything to the point where his classmates think he bunked class when he’s sitting right there.
The other main character, Kubo, will likely also be introduced and shown to take a liking for Junta and constantly talk to him, helping him get out of his mindset. The trailer doesn’t give much more information regarding the rest of the cast, and we can likely assume that this central duo will be getting the majority of screen time.

Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is a manga by Nene Yukimori. It was first launched in the Weekly Young Jump magazine in October 2019. As of December 2022, eleven volumes have been released.
