Not everyone is a protagonist in an anime, there are also background characters who no one remembers. Junta from Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is such a mob character that people always fail to notice him.
Teachers think he is absent despite him sitting in class, no one calls upon him for answers, and even the facial recognition feature of phones don’t work on him.
Shueisha has just announced that the Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible manga has been greenlit for an anime adaptation. Now, you’ll be able to watch Kubo’s embarrassingly invisible moments live.
Two cute new visuals have been revealed to commemorate the animation’s decision. In the first one, Kubo, Junta’s classmate, is annoying him like always. Apparently, she is the only one who can notice him. (Who else can smell a ship?)
The second visual is actually an illustration drawn by Nene Yukimori, the manga’s author.
The staff members for the upcoming anime have been announced, and studio PINE JAM is animating it.
|Series Composition||Yūya Takahashi||Lupin III: Part IV|
|Character Designer||Yoshiko Saitō||Comic Girls|
Both the cast members for the two main characters have also been announced:
|Junta Shiraishi||Kengo Kawanishi||Gen (Dr. Stone)|
|Nagisa Kubo||Kana Hanazawa||Ai Kitora (World Trigger)|
Kubo and Junta make a really cute pair, but soon you’ll get to know how Kubo pouts her way into making Junta do all kinds of weird stuff. Her favorite hobby? To experiment with Junta and make him noticeable.
This sweet adolescent comedy will melt your heart as you slowly get attached to this duo.
About Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible
Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is a manga by Nene Yukimori. It was first launched in the Weekly Young Jump magazine in October 2019. As of December 2022, eleven volumes have been released.
The series focuses on Junta Shiraishi whose presence is so negligible that no one notices him. He is basically ignored by almost everyone except his classmate, Kubo.
Kubo loves to tease him and occasionally makes him do weird things in class just to see if anyone would notice.
